Ariana Grande got stuck in an elevator with her team right after closing her Eternal Sunshine Tour, and shared photos of it on Instagram.

Ariana Grande Trapped in Elevator After Tour Finale

Ariana Grande got trapped in an elevator with members of her team moments after walking off stage at the final concert of her Eternal Sunshine Tour, according to photos the singer shared on Instagram over the weekend.

The lift, which was carrying Grande and part of her crew, stopped suddenly and left them stuck for a while, according to the post. The incident happened the same night the Florida-born singer closed out her tour in front of her audience.

Grande did not try to hide the mishap. She included it among more than a dozen photographs from backstage on the night of her last show, posted alongside images from the performance itself.

Trapped for a while

The photos show Grande still wearing her final concert outfit as she pushed against the elevator door, exchanging looks of disbelief and laughter with the people trapped alongside her. Rather than panic after nearly three hours on stage, the singer and her team treated the wait as a lighthearted moment while they waited for emergency services to free them.

Grande is known for the pop albums that built her career as well as for playing Glinda in the two-part film adaptation of the musical Wicked. The Eternal Sunshine Tour supported her most recent album and had just wrapped when the elevator incident took place.

Fans react

The good humor Grande and her team showed while stuck was one of the things fans singled out in their response to the post. Comments praising her ability to laugh at herself filled the publication throughout the weekend, turning what could have been an awkward moment into a story her followers embraced.

The gap between performing in front of a packed stadium and then being confined to the few square feet of a broken elevator did not go unnoticed by fans either, who saw it as a striking contrast to close out the tour.

What's next for Ariana Grande

With the tour now finished, Grande is beginning a period of downtime she has reportedly been planning for months. The break follows the release of both Wicked films and the completion of a demanding tour schedule, and will see her step away from the spotlight and the pace of touring for a time.

She leaves the stage, for now, with a lighthearted memory that fans are likely to bring up the next time elevator doors open in front of her.
