Ben Affleck spent time with two of his three children, Violet, 20, and Fin, 17, at the Santa Monica restaurant Fia on Saturday night, the same spot where his ex-wife Jennifer Garner recently enjoyed a date night with boyfriend John Miller.
The couple's youngest child, 14-year-old son Samuel, was not present for the outing.
Affleck, 54, and Garner, 54, share the three children from their marriage. The 54-year-old actor and director, known for films including Good Will Hunting and Argo, was on dad duty in a light blue button-up shirt, black pants and loafers.
Violet wore a light-colored cardigan, a knee-length red skirt and sneakers, adding a white KN95 mask that she often wears as a result of a post-viral condition she suffered in 2019. Fin, born Seraphina, wore a striped sweater, dark overalls and sneakers for the family outing.
Violet, a college student, was seen speaking on the phone at one point during the dinner.
Family reunited for Garner's birthday
Earlier this month, Affleck and Garner reunited with their children to celebrate Garner's birthday. The gathering came weeks after the death of Affleck's mother, Chris Affleck, who died on June 2 at age 83 following a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Affleck and Garner, known for playing Sydney Bristow on Alias and for 13 Going on 30, were married from 2005 until their separation in 2015, with their divorce finalized in 2018. The exes have remained on friendly terms and have been known to spend holidays together since the split.
Garner praises Affleck as co-parent
In July, Garner made rare public comments praising her ex-husband. Asked by Entertainment Weekly about "the minutiae of raising a family and working," she said she "absolutely" "got caught up" in motherhood but described Affleck as a "great partner."
"But my kids are a little bigger [now]. Their dad has become this incredible co-parent," she said.
She added: "When [my kids] were younger, I wouldn't have done a couple of weeks away without taking them with me. Now they're in high school. You can't really do that anymore. But they can stay with their dad. He's wonderful. He takes care of them. He's a great partner in that way. And that's very freeing."
Garner's relationship and Affleck's business deal
Garner has been romantically linked to Miller, the CEO of tech investment company CaliGroup, since 2018. Affleck, for his part, dated his Deep Water co-star Ana de Armas for about a year and was later married to Jennifer Lopez from 2022 to 2024.
Earlier this year, Netflix, one of the world's largest streaming platforms, acquired Affleck's AI start-up company InterPositive. In a Securities and Exchange Commission filing in July, the streamer said it paid $587 million in cash for the company, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The outlet reported that the disclosure was made in Netflix's form 10-Q, which stated that "in March 2026, the Company completed an acquisition which was accounted for as a business combination for a total purchase price of approximately $587 million, consisting of cash consideration."
In a statement, Affleck said he "couldn't be happier" with the deal, having quietly founded the Los Angeles-based company in 2022 with a 16-person team of engineers, researchers and creatives.
