Selena Gomez becomes the most followed woman on Instagram and moves away from social networks

Singer Selena Gomez is once again the woman with the most followers on Instagram. The star crossed the $381 million mark, surpassing socialite Kylie Jenner, who is on $380 million.

Selena was already the most-followed person on Instagram between 2016 and 2018, but lost her throne when she stepped away from social media due to a bout with lupus and depression. On the occasion he was overtaken by the footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.

The detail is that, after regaining the throne, he announced that he will again move away from all social media.

The decision was communicated to fans during a live stream on TikTok – since canceled -, in a speech that may have been motivated by comments on his appearance. Recently, she complained about followers fixation on her weight.

“I’m so happy. I’m so blessed. I have the best friends and fans in the world. I love who I am, I don’t care if I’m fat or not. I take time off social media because it’s ridiculous. I’m 30, I’m too old for that,” he declared.

“I’m going to get away from it all for a while, I love you so much. See you soon, I’ll be taking a break from it all. Bye!”

He then posted a photo on Instagram, saying he’d previously deleted it because the pose was “a bit much,” but decided to post it anyway because he’d be taking “a break from social media” afterwards.
