Musician Roberto de Carvalho has reassured fans of Rita Lee, stating that his wife is “getting stronger” one day after being admitted to the Albert Einstein hospital, in São Paulo.
According to the singer’s husband, entering the health unit is part of her recovery after treatment for lung cancer, which was diagnosed in May 2021. Officially, Rita is in remission.
“I want to inform you that Rita is fine, she is getting stronger, she is recovering. We know that there will always be monitoring tests and therapies to do, which will eventually lead to hospitalizations, given that we have to deal with the disease and the side effects of the treatments,” said Roberto, on Instagram.
On Friday (24/2), after confirming the hospitalization, he had already indicated that it was routine and asked for privacy.
This Saturday afternoon (25/2) he thanked the fans for their love.
“We are grateful for the tsunami of love, affection and positivity we have received. Thank you so much. And we are moving forward and that the Great Lights of the Universe are guiding us along all paths,” he concluded.
