The justice blocks the accounts of Thiago Gagliasso for the conviction in the lawsuit for fake news

The Justice of Rio de Janeiro has ordered the blocking of R$ 10,000 from the bank accounts of Thiago Gagliasso, brother of actor Bruno Gagliasso elected state deputy for the PL, Bolsonaro’s party. The information was published by Ancelmo Gois’ column in the newspaper O Globo.

The money will be used to compensate for fake news. In July 2022, Thiago was sentenced to pay moral damages to the mother of one of those killed in the police operation that ended with 28 dead in Jacarezinho in May 2021.

The actor wrongly associated Adriana Santana de Araújo Rodrigues, the mother who had just lost her son, with drug trafficking. At the time, he shared an image of a woman holding a rifle, claiming she was the mother of Marlon Santana De Araújo. At the time, the information had already been denied by the police.

Despite the very small amount, Thiago Gagliasso tried to appeal to change the sentence, but the judge rejected the appeal and has now ordered the blocking of the sentence amount on the deputy’s current accounts.

According to Adriana’s lawyer, João Tancredo, the publication of the video on Thiago Gagliasso’s social network took place in “bad faith”, “ignoring the pain of a mother who has brutally lost her son, a fact that must be rejected to inhibit, in turn, the disgusting fake news”.
