Ornella Muti was born in Rome to a Neapolitan journalist whose name is unknown and a Baltic German, Ilse Krause, who was a sculptor and was born in Estonia.

Mutti started acting early – she was 14 when she starred in the movie “The Most Beautiful Woman” about the Sicilian mafia. It was the director of this image, Damiano Damiani, who found a sound pseudonym for the young actress. After all, her real name is Francesca Romana Rivelli. But the actress named Rivelli was then already known in Italy.

A breakthrough for her acting career was the scandalous erotic drama The Last Woman, where Muti starred in tandem with Gerard Depardieu. Apparently, he was a wealthy adult man who was married and severed relations with Ornella as soon as she found out she was expecting a child. Then, in a marriage with producer Federico Fachinetti, his son Andrea and daughter Carolina were born. The family broke up due to the man’s gambling addiction. Since 2008, Muti began dating businessman Fabrice Kererve.

Today, the actress continues to act in films, attends social events and even tried to do business herself – in 2008 she launched the production of jewelry. And Muti has long been a grandmother – for the first time she became one at the age of 41. It is quite possible that she will soon become a great-grandmother – the eldest grandson of actress Akash Chetorelli is already married.
