The soap opera marked the history of Brazilian TV and the actors reported unexplained events
The soap opera Travelsince 1994, since Globe, is one of the most striking features of the network and is also highly remembered by the actors due to the supernatural events they claim to have witnessed during the tapings. Lucinha Lins has reportedly witnessed some unexplained behind-the-scenes happenings at the soap opera, which she says has a “strong energy.”
The actress recalls that, in the closed studio, she even saw a yellow butterfly in the cremation scene of Alexandre, played by Guilherme Fontes. The scene was particularly difficult because it was very reminiscent of the wake of Christiane Torloni’s son, Guilherme, who died in 1991 after suffering a road accident. In the scene, Dina had to cry over Alexandre’s body.
At that time, Lucinha Lins recalls that the butterfly landed at the end of the coffin, in front of Christiane. “We had to stop the scene. He circled around Christiane several times and landed on her, who burst into tears backstage at her. We were all crying over the scene itself, over what our hearts were feeling, over what Christiane was going through. This butterfly was a delicacy. It was a breath of fresh air for all of us” Lucinha recalled in an interview with Who.
In the storyline, Lucinha played Estela, Diná’s sister. The two had a very strong bond in the soap opera, and one could feel the other’s presence and gestures, even after the protagonist’s death. During the recordings, one scene in particular marked Lucinha a lot.
“It was a half-page scene [do roteiro]. When I walked in, Chris got off the couch, slid down, and sat down on the floor. So far, so good. We started the scene with normal lines, but suddenly we developed dialogue that hadn’t been written. A half-page scene turned into a page and a half,” she began.
“We talked pertinent to the scene, but text that wasn’t written, and ended up having tea, as planned. A voice came from the management: ‘Can I cut it?’. We looked at each other without understanding anything. We did a scene that we didn’t know we did,” she said.
The almost telepathic connection between the two was a challenge. “We had very difficult scenes to shoot because we had to understand each other. Someone read the text, since we weren’t talking in these scenes. Our interpretation was all facial and physical. We showed the camera that we were talking mentally. That was very difficult to do ”he recalled. From work a friendship was born between the two actresses.
On the Internet, rumors of a remake of the soap opera tend to appear from time to time. For Lucinha the possibility is encouraging, even if there is no forecast. “I don’t know, but I’d gladly participate. Even if it was to go out back with a tray of coffee, I’d be very happy to be a part of it,” the actress said.
While a remake isn’t in the network’s plans, a film about the soap opera’s 30th anniversary is among the actress’ plans. “It would use actors who were part of the soap opera. It shows what happened to these people, bringing a new group to an idea. It will be one of the biggest box office in this country,” she bet.
