How Jennifer Lopez became homeless after an argument with her mother

Jennifer’s path to fame hasn’t been easy, which she has honestly spoken about many times in interviews. The future singer grew up in the Bronx, a poor neighborhood in New York, in a Puerto Rican family, Guadalupe Rodriguez and David Lopez.

However, Jennifer was passionate about dancing and dreamed of a career in show business. She went to auditions, and when she landed her first role in My Little Girl, she was convinced she wanted to be a movie star.

When Jennifer told her mother she wanted to start dancing instead of going to college, they had a fight. After that, Jennifer left home and started living in a dance studio where she studied. She eventually landed a job in a professional dance production in Europe, and from then on her career quickly took off.

“I slept on the sofa in the dance studio. I was homeless, but I said to my mother, “Here is what I have to do. A few months later, I got a job in Europe. When I came back, I got a job as a dancer in the comedy project In Living Color and moved to Los Angeles. And it all happened in a year,” J. Lo recalled in a 2013 interview.

Any temporary difficulty can be overcome when there is a goal. Well, we have no doubt about Jennifer’s determination!
