The judge of the 1st civil court of Barra, in Rio de Janeiro, has decided to sue the blogger Erlan Bastos for the payment of compensation for moral damages to the plaintiff Marco Pitombo.
According to the lawsuit, Erlan would have spread fake news by publishing that “the artist would have been the pivot of the separation from Gabriela Pugliese”, which never happened.
Erlan Bastos’ Instagram post had a huge impact in February 2021. At the time, in addition to denying rumors that he was in a relationship with Erasmo Viana, Gabriela’s husband, Felipe’s interpreter of “Haja Coração” announced that he started the lawsuit against those who “spread falsehoods about him”.
“The lawyer Mariana Zonenschein, of Asseff Zonenschein’s studio, has already communicated to the Instagram profile that she involved the actor’s name in the separation of the couple and will file a lawsuit in civil and criminal matters against anyone who insists on spreading this news without any foundation or support in law.reality. The site used fake news to create factoids, generate clicks and monetize pseudo-defamatory information,” reads the statement from the advisory by Marcos Pitombo.
If he doesn’t pay the stipulated compensation, Erlan will have his accounts seized by the court. However, the decision can still be appealed.
