Jules takes Manon hostage
At the police station, George informs Commander Constant that an unknown number called Virginie Corcas yesterday afternoon. It’s a call from a prepaid phone in an old disused bus depot. The two policemen then realize that the Perpignan train was just a decoy and that Jules is still in the set.
Meanwhile, Miriam wants to give Manon a gift to thank her for taking care of Nordin. That’s why he decides to take her to Montpellier to give her a nice pair of sneakers. As they prepare to leave the car, Jules, hooded and armed, climbs aboard and points a gun at them. He then orders Miriam to get into the car, but Manon intervenes and then takes her stepmother’s seat. Before leaving, Jules warns Miriam that if she wants to see Manon alive, she must do what he says and pay.
On the other hand, Aurora returned to the set after training. If the policeman is happy to find her husband, her happiness is unfortunately short-lived as she receives a call from Martin, who tells her that Manon has been kidnapped.
Not far from there, Nordin goes to the police station and hugs his mother. After making sure everything was fine, the policeman asks his father to bring him back into the investigation so they can arrest Jules once and for all. Commander Constant replies that it’s impossible, but swears to let him know as soon as he has anything new.
A few kilometers later, Jules and Manon are on the road. An opportunity for Korcas’ son to reveal what he is currently experiencing. With tears in his eyes, he talks about his mother’s illness and also about their difficult financial situation. Although she understands, Manon still points out that she is robbing her friend. Enraged, Jules points the gun at himself and then orders him to shut up.
At the same time, Martin and Karim find Miriam’s car and Manon’s phone in an industrial area. Convinced that Jules and Manon are not far behind, Commander Constant orders a search of the area.
At Douniers, Miriam receives a message from Jules demanding €150,000 in cash in exchange for Manon’s release. Faced with pressure, Miriam and William decide to organize themselves to get the money as quickly as possible, but Martin rules out blackmail. Convinced that Jules would never hurt Manon, the policeman prefers to set a mousetrap to catch her. On the other hand, Nordin disagrees with his father and reminds him that he almost died because of him. Jules, as suicidal but above all desperate, Nordin is not going to wait to hurt Manon.
At the same time, Jules and Manon stopped in the middle of nature to spend the night. When Danié’s daughter asks for news about Virginia, Jules at first refuses to talk about it, but finally says that her life has become a living hell since her father’s death. According to him, they would not be here today if he was still among them. Even if he is touched by her story, Manon still points out to her that there is nothing she could do about her mother’s illness. For Jules, Virgin wouldn’t have gotten sick if she hadn’t been alone. She then tearfully tells him about her fear of losing her mother.
Audrey and Damien are getting married
Early in the morning, Audrey and Damien return home after a night at the hotel. The mother of the family waits until her partner falls into the shower to destroy all the chocolate chickens, hoping to find the engagement ring he had hidden. in vain
Later, Jack and Ryan hang out at Roussel. After exchanging a passionate kiss, Jack offers her boyfriend some chocolate chicken that she set out for him. In it, the son Sayid falls on the famous ring with a bite. If he’s happy to see Jack so invested in their story, Ryan humorously explains that they’re not adults yet. Jack then confirms that he is not asking her to marry him.
Convinced that the ring belongs to Damien, Jack, Jordan and Liz try to convince their stepfather that it’s not a good idea to ask Audrey to marry him again. Since he doesn’t understand what they’re referring to, Jack shows them the ring they found. Still, Damien replies that it’s not his. So they understand that it wasn’t him who wanted to make his request, but Audrey.
In the evening, Audrey, having retrieved the ring, waits for Damien to get home to get down on one knee and propose. Shocked, Damien takes it and kisses him passionately. Jack, Liz, Leo, and Jordan, who had been listening outside their bedroom doors, hurried to join them in congratulating them. On the other hand, Damien takes an engagement ring from his pocket and offers it to his future wife.
Benoit admits
Amelie and Lisa are looking nostalgically at a family photo album when the shots in particular catch the attention of a police officer. Without waiting, she goes to the place where Benoit is hiding, then shows him a picture of her parents that was taken twelve years ago. In the background, the SVT teacher is seen spying on them. Before Benoit reminds her that they lived in the same town, Lisa replies that the photo was not taken in Argenaille, but in a park more than 20 kilometers from their home.
This could be conclusive evidence of his obsession with Hassan’s family, but Benoit denies everything. Convinced that he is the Argentail monster, the policeman declares that he must pay for what he has done. He then pushes her to the limit, telling her that she wasn’t acting as a vigilante, much less to protect children from abusive parents.
He also explains to her how much he and his sister suffered when their parents died. When he adds that they loved each other and their daughters more than anything, Benoit cracks and shows his true colors. He then yells at Lisa that he doesn’t understand and that he doesn’t know why he killed them all.
In black anger, Benoit says that he is wrong about his parents. As they constantly argued, they would eventually destroy him and his sister. According to him, they were like the ones he killed, that is, poisonous to his children. And it’s fair to say that Benoit doesn’t regret what he did because he wanted them to avoid what he went through.
Indeed, Benoit’s parents treated him badly. No one helped him for 17 years. He then admits that he got rid of them to end his ordeal. Benoit then acted when he heard the child’s threats. This was the case with Sarah and Roxanne, who she saw arguing in the park instead of taking care of their daughter. The same Delcourt girl who almost died from lack of care. As for Alma and Benjamin, Benoit believes that they did not deserve to have a child, because the English teacher only intended to have a child to please his companion. In fact, Benoit regrets not being able to kill the others.
Although shocked by these revelations, Lisa tells Benedict that she did not save them, but destroyed them. When Lisa announces that she’s going to take him to the police so he can repeat everything he just told her, Benoit starts laughing and flatly refuses.
To risk killing Benoit again, Lisa points out that the only way out of this is to admit what she’s done. Benoit, on the other hand, sees another possibility: that Lisa will kill him. Obviously, the policewoman has no intention of doing this because she wants him to be held accountable to justice. However, Benoit does not want to end his life in prison. Also, she leaves him no choice: either he leaves her here free and accuses her of kidnapping him, or he kills her while covering up the crime. As he speaks, Benoit pulls on the chains with all his might and manages to free himself. Immediately, Lisa points a gun at him and urges him to back off. in vain Benoit moves closer until he feels Lisa’s gun against his chest, then pushes him to end it once and for all. After a while, a shot was heard…
