“I can’t be here!” : 5 stars who don’t like George Clooney

The charming George Clooney seems to be loved by literally everyone. But it’s not!

Russell Crowe

The actor once said a few nasty things about Clooney and other colleagues: “I don’t advertise suits in Spain, like George Clooney, or cigarettes in Japan, like Harrison Ford. And recently, Robert de Niro advertised for American Express. It’s not the first time he’s let me down.”

After Crowe accused the actors of selling their souls for money, Clooney said Russell wanted to apologize for his words and even held out a virtual olive branch as a sign of truce: “He sent me a CD with his music and a book of poetry. And I thought he would say right, they say, I was wrong, and I will answer: yes, yes, it does not matter. But he thinks he is Frank Sinatra!”

Leonardo DiCaprio

That’s not to say the actors don’t support each other, but the cat clearly ran between them. In 2013, Clooney remembers playing basketball with Leonardo and some friends. It turned out that the DiCaprio team wasn’t as good as they claimed: “The difference between their game and talking about it reminded me how important it is to have someone one next to you who honestly says what’s what. I’m not sure Leo has such a person.” Afterwards, he had to explain that he was only talking about basketball, and not his colleague’s real life.

Soon, when asked about the kind of people around him, DiCaprio replied: “They are all wonderful people. Among them are actors and those with whom, for example, I went to school. And also Kevin Connolly and Tobey Maguire.” Protect yourself and your friends!

Sandra Bullock

It wasn’t a fight, more of a cute episode, but it still deserves a mention. At the 2013 premiere of Gravity at the Toronto Film Festival, Sandra said her son Lewis was crazy about co-star and longtime friend George Clooney: “My son thinks he’s a badass. .. If he had to choose between me and George, he would probably leave me for Clooney… He likes to talk to men.” Clooney confirmed that Sandra and her son came to visit him on Lake Como.

But there was a problem with this male friendship. In Gravity, Clooney’s character didn’t treat Sandra’s character very well, and Lewis was very upset that George wasn’t helping him. He even accused Clooney of not changing the script!

Ryan Gosling

During the filming of The Ides of March, directed by Clooney, Gosling allowed himself a few remarks about Clooney. Rumor has it he didn’t want to breathe the same air as the actor! He didn’t like Clooney constantly talking about his life, and he didn’t want to be friends with him.

In 2011, Ryan explained why: “It’s hard to be there because he’s so sweet, charming, smart, funny… It’s depressing.”

Clooney liked to play tricks on his colleagues. Once he imperceptibly wet Gosling’s pants with water, and when he got up he noticed that all his legs were wet. But Ryan forgave him everything: “He’s good at everything, and it’s impossible to make him angry.”

Saoirse Ronan

In 2018, the actress recalled the situation at the Oscars in 2008. Her mother found herself in a strange situation with Clooney, and that’s all Saoirse ended up remembering from that night.

The actress was nominated for Best Supporting Actress and was doing interviews on the red carpet as her mother tried to dodge passing movie superstars. And then Clooney stepped on the hem of her dress! When she saw this, she tried to get his attention. But he just walked on without noticing anything.

Saoirse recalls: “She came up to me and told me I would never believe what had happened to her.” Of course, you can only be proud of the fact that Clooney himself stepped on your dress!

By the way, soon the actor called Saoirse and apologized to her mother. A gentleman is still a gentleman.
