Simony resumes treatment for bowel cancer

Singer Simony revealed on Wednesday night (26/4) that she will be resuming treatment for bowel cancer, discovered in August last year. “I’m getting ready for this fight,” she described her.

In early January, Simony announced her last consultation with the oncologist after receiving her medical follow-up. At the time, the singer said the exams were “super awesome.” However, he also anticipated that he would have new exams in March of this year.

On social media, Simony used a video from Dr Fernando Maluf to inform about the new invasive treatment sessions. Until then, the artist was in remission of the disease. “Simony had a very good response to chemo and radiation treatment. This response was very important, but there are still points of disease activity that will require us to return to chemo plus immunotherapy treatment. Simony is enthusiastic, positive, is a source of inspiration. We are confident that this treatment will generate a great response,” said the oncologist.

Simony added in the caption that she’s ready for another stage. “I have always been and will be super transparent with you, prayers and love, faith is what I always want from all of you. I will come here tomorrow to talk to you. I am preparing for this fight… Someday at a time,” she wrote she.

Simony’s disease was discovered after a series of routine tests. At the time, the artist had a lump in his intestines and ended up undergoing a colonoscopy, where the tumor was discovered. Just last year, the singer even vented about the painful process she went through to battle cancer. “I allow myself to be everything and to feel everything, because I went through the most painful treatment of my life—not just physically, but emotionally. Out of nowhere, my life changed,” she described.
