Divorce: Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner have separated after 18 years of marriage

This Tuesday, 2, according to information from the portal TMZ, Christine Baumgartner, 49, files for divorce from Kevin Costner, 68. They have been together for 18 years since 2004 and have three children, 15-year-old Cayden, 14-year-old Hayes, and 12-year-old Grace. Costner is also the father of four children from previous relationships, Annie, Lily, Joe and Liam.

A rep for the actor confirmed the information. “It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have arisen which have led to Mr. Costner joining action for the dissolution of his marriage,” the statement read.

“We ask that your, Christine’s and the children’s privacy be respected as they go through this difficult time,” she continued.

Also according to the portal, Christine mentioned “irreconcilable differences” while filing for divorce. She allegedly filed for joint custody of the children, and Costner filed her response Tuesday, in which she also seeks shared custody.
