The Hermione We Didn’t Know: This Is Why Emma Watson Was Replaced As A Double In A Harry Potter Scene

Rare shoots do without actor doubles. And the Harry Potter saga was no exception – it was who replaced Emma Watson in the image of Hermione.

The presence of stunt doubles of young actors on the set of “Harry Potter” was associated not so much with stunts as with work rules. By law, people under 16 cannot work more than four hours a day. Therefore, those scenes where the hero’s face was not very clearly visible in the frame, they tried to shoot with stunt doubles in order to save the main actors’ working time for the main scenes.

Flick Miles replaced Emma Watson on the pitch. And she even had a pretty notable scene. When in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Hermione turns into a cat following a potion of Polyjuice prepared by mistake, it turns out that on the screen we saw exactly Flick, not Emma! It was discovered that Watson had a slight allergy to makeup glue, so the young actress decided not to take too many risks.
