Who guards Meghan Markle, Beyoncé and other stars – Hollywood’s coolest bodyguards

The Duchess of Sussex, who gave up life in the palace and fled to Hollywood, seems to have decided to copy local icons in order to pass herself off as her own. Megan started with an unexpected step – she hired Kim Kardashian’s former bodyguard, who worked for her in 2016.

Insiders are already whispering that Markle chose this security guard not so much for security as for the hype to increase her influence. The man had previously accompanied Meghan on the mountain walk she took while Prince Harry was at his father’s coronation in London. A new employee appeared in the star family shortly after firing former Michael Jackson bodyguard Alberto Alvarez – the man has reportedly been charged with drunk driving.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z keep multiple bodyguards at all times, but Julius de Boer is their longest-serving, and arguably hottest, bodyguard. He has worked with the family since 2008 and takes his responsibilities very seriously.

“Physical and psychological adaptability is the main characteristic you should have,” he said, describing Variety’s work in 2011.

Simon Newton is one of Hollywood’s most wanted bodyguards. Bella was just one of his clients he worked with in 2018. The former serviceman also kept Michael Jackson, Kendall Jenner, Rita Ora, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss. He started his celebrity career in 2006.

“When you’re in control of a celebrity’s safety, there’s always something to do. Planning ahead for a trip can take time and often just isn’t there. Plus, the work day is long, you’re wake up before them and go to bed after them. You can work 16 hours a day, seven days a week,” Simon explained.

A few years ago, Newton decided to embark on an independent film career.

Usually bodyguards stay in the shadow of their celebrity clients, but Tim Chung got an unexpected dose of his own fame when rumors surfaced in 2018 that he was the real father of Kylie Jenner’s daughter, Stormy.

As a result, Chang even had to officially refute this information.

“Out of deep respect for Kylie, Travis, their daughter, I would like to be clear and say that my communication with Kylie and her family was limited to purely business related duties,” the security guard said.

At one point, Tim was babysitting sisters Kylie, Kim and Kourtney, along with their children. Chang also worked for the LAPD, and his good looks, of course, also long attracted model agents.
