During her short career, Judith managed to appear in 70 commercials, four television projects and three films. Most often she played girls younger than her actual age, because she was short in stature and at 10 she looked 7-8 years old.
But as soon as the floodlights on the landing went out, Judith’s life plunged into darkness. She and her mother suffered domestic violence at the hands of the head of the family, Joseph Barsi. The man was a typical loser, offended by the whole world, and poured out all his anger on his loved ones. While his daughter was beginning to receive handsome royalties, Joseph was an unemployed alcoholic. The thought that he was financially dependent on little Judith caused him burning jealousy that turned into paranoia. On the night of July 26, 1988, a man shot first his daughter, then his wife, then committed suicide.
Fame came to this ordinary Soviet boy when he starred in the short story “Leader of the Redskins” in Leonid Gaidai’s film “Business People”. Tikhonov’s partners were the famous Georgy Vitsin and Alexei Smirnov, but the charismatic 12-year-old was not at all lost in their background. After Sergey continued to act, directors and other actors noted his talent.
However, later Tikhonov was not taken to VGIK. He served in the army and, returning to civilian life, he seemed to be able to try his luck again. Alas, he was not destined to wait for new entrance exams. One day in April, in the 22nd year of his life, Tikhonov fell under a tram and died.
Heather was born into a simple family – her mother was a seamstress and her father a bricklayer. Heather’s work in Hollywood later allowed the family to significantly improve their financial situation and move to a bigger house.
However, from the very beginning, bad fate seemed to hang over the blonde girl. The first danger passed tangentially while Heather was still in her mother’s womb. She had a spontaneous abortion, which resulted in the death of Heather’s twin brother.
Heather’s health was also poor. But the fact that in 1987 she was misdiagnosed with Crohn’s disease was fatal and she was treated for something completely different from what the baby actually suffered.
In the cinema, the girl became famous for her role as Carol Ann Freeling in the Poltergeist trilogy. Also, Steven Spielberg himself noticed this, who wrote the script. The director noticed the girl in the studio cafeteria, where she was having lunch with her mother. And if before that Spielberg was thinking of choosing his goddaughter Drew Barrymore for the role, now he knew for sure that this little stranger was the one he was looking for.
After finishing work on the third part of the horror movie, Heather felt bad. At first, parents thought she had the flu, but the girl’s condition worsened and became critical. She was constantly vomiting, her hands became icy cold, she lost consciousness. She was rushed to hospital, but there Heather died of cardiac arrest. That’s when it turned out she had intestinal stricture, not Crohn’s disease. The latest cause of death for a 12-year-old girl was myocardial infarction due to septic shock due to bowel stricture.
