It’s time to say goodbye to Un si grand soleil!
Featured in the series from September 15, 2022, Lila Guira, Tais Collignon’s translator, will say goodbye to the Montpellier series in tonight’s episode on France 3.
Arriving in Montpellier as a rebellious teenager, Thais became the main character of Un si grand soleil over the seasons.
It must be said that Thais did not spare his life. After the death of Damien, the professor with whom she had a controversial love affair, she almost lost her life. Arno, the young man she was seeing, actually tried to kill her to keep the police from finding out that he had killed her father.
And as if that wasn’t enough, Thais has just had to deal with the tragic disappearance of Liam, the man she loved so much. So many trials that made him one of the most endearing characters in Un si grand soleil.
After three years of good and dedicated service, Thais is now preparing to turn the page and go on new adventures far from Montpellier. A departure that surely marks the end of a cycle for the viewer.
Last July, Lilla Guiraud, his translator, spoke to Allocine about the reasons for his departure and the emotions he experienced in the hours before filming his final scenes in Un si grand soleil.
Allocine: Tais will leave Montpellier to settle in Marseille. Is this departure a choice on your part?
At first I just asked for a break. For this I had to give the exact dates of my departure and return. After discussing with the production, we realized that it would be easier to organize the actual departure. I’m so glad they didn’t make my character die because that doesn’t really end her story.
Over time, Thais became a mainstay of the police department. How did Thierry, Becker and Elise’s goodbye go?
They have not made such a great departure.”Come on Tais, good luck in the futureIt’s pretty small cutscenes scattered here and there with each character.
How did you feel the last time you put on a uniform?
Not much, surprisingly. I had the idea that I was going to leave that it was a day like any other. When I took off my suit for the last time, I just said to myself:Well, it’s true, it’s the last case“. Then I left. I gave especially big kisses to those whom I wasn’t going to see anymore. I didn’t leave in tears.
Hours before shooting your final scenes in the series, what state of mind are you in?
I don’t have stage fright. It’s really fun. Plus, I’m surrounded by people I’ve loved sharing this adventure with. I don’t regret it, I’m really leaving with a smile. And then the arch looks good. It ends with something positive for Thais.
Are you happy with your starting arch? Does it live up to what you were hoping for?
Yes, I am very happy. It’s nice to end on something positive. It was great to play light, comical, good-natured scenes. Tice definitely hasn’t had an easy life, so it’s good that her boyfriend is leaving the series and ready to start a new life. There is hope and that is good.
Do you have any other projects outside of the show that you can talk about?
I finished my first documentary short film, Let youth pass. It was recently submitted to a festival and I am in the process of submitting to other festivals. This is a self made short film. In addition, this time I am writing to make a short feature film.
