Jonathan Major’s molestation case takes a turn and the accuser could end up arrested

The sexual assault case involving actor Jonathan Majors, who plays the villain Kang in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has taken a surprising turn. According to information from the Insider website, Majors’ lawyer Priya Chaudhry has filed a complaint against Majors’ accuser and ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari which could lead to his arrest.

According to the paper, Majors’ defense team says Jabbari attacked the actor with slaps and claws when she was “drunk and hysterical.” The counterpoint was further strengthened by the investigation of other print media. In a New York Times report, three sources said the New York Police Department believes it has enough evidence to support Jabbari’s arrest.

Yahoo Entertainment has confirmed that the department found grounds to arrest Jabbari after Majors went to court for the first time last week. A police spokesman informed the vehicle that “an investigation is underway” in relation to the incident, but that “there are no arrests at this time”.

Wrestle with accusations

In light of the new developments, Majors’ defense has demanded the immediate dismissal of all charges and the opening of a trial against Jabbari, holding her responsible for the alleged assaults against the actor. The court set the date for Majors’ trial for August 3.

“Mr. Majors seeks justice as a victim and deserves to have her attacker arrested and taken to court to face the charges against her,” Majors’ attorney said in a statement. “So far, the prosecution has argued that it will not give Mr. Majors special treatment because he is a well-known person.”

“Now that the New York Police Department, which actually investigated Ms. Jabbari, is ready to arrest her, we sincerely hope that the prosecution does not delay the prosecution of Ms. Jabbari because of the notoriety of this case. That would be false, unfair and inexcusable. We thank the NYPD detectives and hope justice was served for Mr. Majors.”

In response, Jabbari’s attorney Brad Edwards told The New York Times that there is no reason to arrest his client and that he “has seen nothing credible that indicates that any agency has developed a different opinion “.

“Indeed, we understand that the criminal case against Mr. Majors is progressing as planned,” he added. “Out of respect for the criminal trial and prosecutors, who will make decisions based on the evidence, we do not intend to respond to rumours.”

Complaints against majors

The former couple were in a relationship for several years, during which time Jabbari also worked as a movement trainer alongside Majors in the film ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ (2023). In March of this year, he filed the first domestic violence charge against Majors, which led to the actor’s provisional arrest.

According to the report, Majors allegedly attacked and hanged her inside a taxi, after confronting the actor when he noticed another woman’s texts on her cell phone. In counterpoint filed with the court on June 20, the plaintiff’s defense team says the person attacked in the situation was Majors and will show the court “irrefutable evidence.”

The plaintiff also reiterated that the driver of the vehicle will testify that he was the one who was attacked. Jabbari’s account further states that she went to a nightclub after the fight and, hours later, she went to the house of Majors, who was not at home. When he arrived, he presumably found her passed out and half naked in her closet. Her injuries may have occurred during her fainting.

The publicity surrounding the case led the press to look for women who could report further acts of assault by the actor, resulting in other alleged victims accusing Majors of sexual harassment and assault. However, no one filed a complaint. But the repercussions resulted in the actor being fired from two major projects he was involved in.

Future at Marvel

On the other hand, Marvel has not severed ties with the actor or released any statement regarding the case. Introduced in the series “Loki” (2021) and in the film “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”, his character Kang would be the great villain of the new phase of the MCU (Marvel Cinematographic Universe, its acronym in English) with a marked conflict for “Avengers: Kang Dynasty” on May 1, 2026.

In the last week, actor Anthony Mackie, the new Captain America in the MCU, has broken the artists’ silence in the studio and defended Majors. “Nothing has been proven about this guy. Nothing. So everyone is innocent until proven guilty. That’s all I can say,” he told Inverse magazine.
