Justyn Vicky had an accident trying to squat with a 210kg barbell
According to reports and images of a video with strong scenes circulated on the internet, the bar fell on the back of his neck. He was training in the Paradise Bali gym on July 15th when the accident occurred.
In the footage, he can be seen attempting a shoulder squat with a barbell, and afterward, appears unable to stand. When he tried to support the weight, he fell and the barbell hit the back of his head.
The influencer, who had more than 30,000 Instagram followers, was rescued and taken unconscious to hospital with a broken neck and pinched vital nerves connecting the heart and lungs, according to Channel News Asia. He died shortly after emergency surgery.
In the videos below, posted a month ago, Justyn is seen training. “Never give up. It’s just mindset,” she wrote.
