The Hashemite dynasty can be proud of a truly ancient lineage: the Jordanian royal family traces its origins to legendary Makkah resident Hashim ibn Abd Manaf, the great-grandfather of the Prophet Muhammad. However, the late King Hussein I married Europeans twice, so some of his descendants looked exotic to the Middle East. Meet Princesses Sarah and Aisha, daughters of Faisal, brother of King Abdullah II.
Recently we talked about Princess Haala bint al Hashim – Abdullah and Rania’s 16-year-old niece was named Jordan’s most beautiful princess after the girl appeared at the wedding of her cousin, Crown Prince Hussein.

At the same celebration, for the first time in a long time, Queen Rania’s favorite nieces Sarah and Aisha, 26, appeared. The appearance of these girls at one time caused a sensation in the Arab world: both of them look more like European princesses than Oriental princesses. Both girls have long blonde hair, fair skin, green eyes.

And, if in the case of Princess Haala, who has red hair and gray-green eyes, she is said to have inherited genes from her grandmother, American Lisa Halabi, after marrying King Hussein and having converted to Islam, who was given the name of Queen Noor, who is “guilty” in the beauty of the twins, exotic for Jordan?
Their father, Faisal ibn Hussein, is the younger brother of the King of Jordan. Abdallah II maintains warm relations with all his many brothers and sisters, but he is especially close to Faisal. They were born just a year apart and shared every game, and when they grew up both showed serious interest in military service and were successful. By the way, Faisal is the namesake of Abdullah’s father-in-law, the father of Queen Rania.
The king’s younger brother married three times. He first married the beautiful Alia Tabbaa, daughter of the founder of Jordanian Airlines. Their first daughter, Aya, was born in 1990.

And 7 years later, twins were born, they received the traditional names Sarah and Aisha. However, it quickly became clear that the appearance of the sisters is exceptional – both fair-skinned and blond-haired blondes!
Apparently, once again, the genes were oddly mixed. Although Abdallah and Faisal’s mother, née Antoinette Gardiner, had naturally dark brown hair (Queen Moona now sports noble gray hair), her English ancestors, of course, must have had many owners of blonde hair. And in the case of the twins, this information recorded in the DNA “defeated” the eastern genetics of Faisal and Aliya.
It is curious that this did not happen with the offspring of Rania and Abdallah, although their eldest daughter, Princess Iman, has lighter hair than her mother. But it is possible that it tints the wicks. Maybe one of the king’s grandchildren will be blond!
Like their parents, Sarah and Aisha studied abroad at the University of Westminster, where they assimilated without difficulty. However, after graduating (Aisha majored in criminology and her sister studied architecture), they returned to their native Amman.
Princesses aren’t married, and obviously not because they aren’t popular with the opposite sex. Both are career-focused: Aisha works as a research, education and outreach coordinator for the Jordanian NGO Generations for Peace, and Sarah joined the team of a Jordanian entertainment provider as a project manager .
The private life of the twins is closed to the public, although they are always present at family events and periodically represent the royal family at official meetings with their father. I would love to see more of these beauties!
