How a banking scandal helped Charlize Theron become an actress – a story that will surprise you

Today, Charlize Theron is one of Hollywood’s top actresses. But did you know she doesn’t even have an acting background? She is mounted on the set thanks to an unusual case.

Theron came to Hollywood when she was 18. Shortly before that, she had to leave ballet classes due to an injury, and the girl tried herself in the modeling business. There was a catastrophic lack of money, and somehow Charlize had to cause a stir at a Los Angeles bank branch.

She was trying to cash a check she received for her fashion shoot in New York, but the employee refused to do so because the check was issued out of state.

“The bank didn’t accept it and I really needed the money. So I started begging the cashier to help me. I begged and begged, then a gentleman came and tried to help me.– said Theron in an interview with Oprah Winfrey.

What the future star didn’t know then was that the scandal at the bank would be his first hearing, as the sympathetic man was none other than Agent John Crosby, who was then representing the interests of John Hurt and Rene Russian. And soon he became an agent of Theron.

“At the exit, the person who helped me gave me his card. He said “If you care, I’ll represent you”remembers the actress.

And so, thanks to a timely scandal, Theron entered Hollywood.
