It seems that Bianca, born on October 17, 1990 in Los Angeles, was destined to become a famous martial arts athlete, or at least a bodybuilder.
His father was European champion in karate and kickboxing with 53 victories in 55 fights, and was nicknamed Muscle of Brussels. His mother, Gladys Portugues, was a famous bodybuilder. Bianchi also has two brothers: elder Christopher and younger Nicholas.
Bianca grew up in an atmosphere of body worship, flexing her muscles and kicking and… hated it all with all her heart. The girl admitted that she could not stand martial arts and categorically refused to practice them. As if to upset her parents, she chose ballet and figure skating, which she enjoyed as a child. Although her mother tried to send her to the martial arts section to develop her discipline, she ultimately let her daughter decide for herself.
As a teenager, Bianca loved skating – the family had just moved to Vancouver. The girl was so determined that she even wanted to participate in the Olympic Games. But the injury canceled grand plans.
“I got a little stuck for a while. My whole life has been dedicated to skating. And all of a sudden, I had to find something new.
And then Bianca suddenly decided to turn to martial arts and began training with her father, while starring with him in the 2008 film Special Assignment, where she played the daughter of her father’s character. At first she considered this activity more like a hobby, but soon cinema and wrestling became her life’s work.
The girl plays in action films as an actress, is a producer and screenwriter of various projects and, of course, does not forget to train regularly. The signature jump in her father’s style and her splits come easy for Bianca.
“I want to show little girls that it is possible to be physically strong and feminine. That you can beautifully cross your legs at the table and then kick someone’s ass in a beautiful, feminine way. My father made martial arts popular with my generation and I want to continue that legacy.
At the same time, Bianchi’s relationship with the famous father didn’t always go well. Just in his childhood there were a series of scandals associated with the name of Van Damme: starting with a highly publicized divorce from Bianchi’s mother and ending with the fact that the famous actor and athlete was caught consume drugs.
“There have certainly been ups and downs in our relationship, but everything is fine now. We chat and hang out, but I don’t call him to suggest, “Hey dad, let’s have a bite to eat and talk about life.” We prefer going to the gym, playing in a punching bag and all that. I was never a little princess for my father.”
Interestingly, in training, Bianca also meets the heiress of another cult actor of the 90s, Dolph Lungren, Ida. The two girls were something of a sparring partner to each other and generally maintained a friendly relationship.
But little is known about Bianca’s personal life – she is currently not officially in a relationship. Maybe the gentlemen are afraid of a potential father-in-law?
