Stanislav Govorukhin’s soap opera about the fight against post-war crime is the pearl of the collection of Soviet cinema. A brilliant cast, precise roles, an exciting plot – “The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed” still brings viewers to the screen today. Of course, everyone loves the duet of Zheglov and Sharapov performed by Vladimir Vysotsky and Vladimir Konkin. But the film is also rich in other memorable images. One of them, the young Varya Sinichkina, was played by actress Natalia Danilova. Where is she now?
Natalya Danilova was only 24 years old when the film “The meeting place cannot be changed” was released. But at that time she was already a very experienced artist. She started acting in films at the age of 13, making her debut with director Igor Maslennikov in the film “Tomorrow, April 3…”. The impetuous and sensible girl, however, did not rush into the tempting world of cinema – at first she calmly graduated from high school, and then only went to become an “artist”.
Danilova was immediately enrolled in the second year of the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinema, from which she graduated in 1976. 1979 was a truly happy year for the actress: it was then that she appeared on the screen in her most prominent roles, which the viewer remembered for a long time. This is the charming and slightly naive police sergeant Varya Sinichkina from “The meeting place cannot be changed” and Princess Volskaya in the TV movie “Small tragedies” by Mikhail Schweitzer.
From this fact alone, we can understand how wide the spectrum of this actress is and what is her great mastery of reincarnation.
