Diones said he was unable to process the request as of Saturday (09/02) because he did not have the means to repair the financed car. The driver also revealed that his profile was blocked in the app for unknown reasons.
“I have a clear conscience. After the accident I was very shaken. Shocked by Kayky’s health, with the media. I keep thinking about her little son, I’m a father too,” he said. “I can’t work [sem o carro]. To my surprise, the application blocked me, despite the pointed inquiries [até agora] a fatality. I never meant to hurt the boy.”
The defense of the driver, Julio Cesar Filho, has revealed that a virtual crowdfunding has been opened to pay off the family’s debts. “The vehicle is the means of survival for him, so far we have not understood the reason for the blockade of the 99. The police report declares a culpable crime, when it is committed without intent”, explained the lawyer.

Diones da Silva has been working on two transportation applications for four months since leaving his career in systems analysis and development and traffic management. However, the unintentional accident has disrupted his self-employment and could have financial complications.
“The damage was estimated at R$ 10,000. The deductible is R$ 4,000, plus the monthly car payment of R$ 1,700. The car is my only means of work. I bought the car to go to the work and, if you pay, not “I don’t even have 10,000 kilometers driven. I don’t even know what to do. I have two small children and this aggravates my psychological state even more”, the driver vented.
Despite the damages, Diones acknowledges that his damages were “only material”. “There isn’t a day that I don’t think about how Kayky is doing. I just ask God that everything is fine and that she leaves the hospital soon,” he added.
