Troubled episodes of Saved by the Bell? According to the star of the series, there are some things we couldn’t do today

Saved by the Bell, which follows the crazy daily lives of six teenagers in their college, is a must-see for teenagers. Ran from 1989 to 1993, it featured crazy sides and good humor.

In The last Pod Meets World podcastAmerican actor Mark-Paul Gosselaar, who played the character of Zach Morris in the NBC series, which was first broadcast in France on Antenne 2, however, admits that some episodes of the show are causing problems and cannot be produced today.

“Saved by the Bell had some storylines that were problematic”admits Mark-Paul Gosselaar in the podcast. “There was one in particular where I was kind of prostitution Lisa Ku. I was asking people to kiss her without her consent. That was a difficult episode.”

Another episode of Saved by the Bell that Mark-Paul Gosselaar regrets filming in retrospect is the one that sees his character in traditional Native American attire. “There was this story where Zack claimed he was Native American”he says. “Seeing her with her hair like that… it was a plot to be a little sensitive about. There are things we can’t do these days anymore.”

In 2020, St Zack to the Future PodcastMarc-Paul Gosselaar, when asked how he would react if he were presented with such intrigues today, said: “It’s going to be one of those moments where I’m going to have a dialogue with the writer, with the producer. I’m going to have a discussion and say, ‘I think we need to dive in to see if this is good for me, if it’s good for the character, and if it’s good for the future of the show.’ .
