The journalist arrested for sexually assaulting a teenager in the bathroom denies the crime

On Sunday (10), journalist and stage entertainer Gregory G. Marcio was arrested for sexually assaulting a minor under the age of 16 in a bathroom at the Beauty Fair, a cosmetics industry trade show, held in Sao Paulo. Hosted events on the official stage.

According to the police report, the accused showed his sexual organ and masturbated, encouraging the boy to participate. After learning what happened, the victim’s mother called the police and everyone went to the police station.

Given the repercussions in the press and on social media, Beauty Fair management issued a statement in which they “strongly regret what happened” and condemned “any form of violence, harassment or disrespect”.

On Tuesday evening (12), a message appeared in the Stories of Gregory G. Marcio’s Instagram page. “I thank everyone who sent me messages. I thank each of you for your trust… Little by little I will respond.” (The blog retained the spelling errors.)

A few minutes later, the same communicator appeared in a video on Facebook. “First of all I’m fine, I’m here at home, thank God,” he said. “I also want to apologize and apologize to you for these articles talking about Gregory, which is not true. The truth prevails. Anyone who knows me knows what I say.” The journalist has the habit of speaking about himself in the third person.

The information about the arrest was confirmed by the SP Public Security Secretariat. The registration was carried out at the 4th Police Station for the Defense of Women (DDM) in the Freguesia do Ó neighborhood, north of the capital.

Until the beginning of August, Gregory G. Marcio participated in the independent program “Mega Audiência”, broadcast on Sundays on RedeTV.
