Guta Stresser, known for her role as Bebel in “A Grande Família”, spoke about her diagnosis of multiple sclerosis and the financial difficulties she faces in an interview on the program “Domingo Espetacular”. The actress, currently undergoing treatment at SUS, spoke about the emotional and professional impact of her illness on her life.
“A bucket of cold water,” is how Guta described the moment he received the diagnosis. He said that initially he felt tingling in his extremities and tinnitus. The disease, which affects her memory and she does not care for her, led the actress to a process of denial until she was able to give new meaning to her life.
Prejudice
Guta also spoke about the prejudice he faces in the arts class due to the disease. “Prejudices due to lack of knowledge. Working is good. The worst thing for someone with multiple sclerosis is to stop. If you stop, you become paralyzed,” she explained.
Regarding financial hardship, Guta was emphatic: “People always think you live a super heavenly, wonderful life, and you’re there to see how you’re going to pay the bill. The bills that come… Nobody wants to lose a house because they’re not were able to pay the loan.”
Return to Curitiba
The actress revealed that she was welcomed by her colleagues from “A Grande Família” and that she currently lives in Curitiba, where she began her career. She is preparing to debut in the comedy “Os Ilfalabetos” next month. She intends to sell her apartment in Rio de Janeiro to settle in Paraná and be closer to her family. “I didn’t even realize I lost it,” she said.
Guta is currently in Curitiba in a small room owned by an association that supports the show that is about to debut. She emphasized that she was treated very well by everyone in the institution.
