Elon Musk defends Russell Brand, actor accused of rape: “Burning witch”

Elon Musk came out in defense of Russell Brand, actor and comedian accused of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse by several women. According to information from Page Six, Tesla’s CEO believes that Brand is in a “witch burning phase.”

“Obviously a conviction is necessary. You cannot be guilty until proven innocent,” said the businessman in a conversation with Ben Shapiro Thursday (28).

Because obviously we are only in the witch burning phase here; just being declared a witch will make you become a witch and burn you.”

Musk also said people shouldn’t “destroy” Brand’s life “at the risk of false accusations.” Furthermore, he suggested that the actor was falsely mistreated due to his propensity to “rattle the cage” of the “powers that be”.

“It seems like a strange coincidence that this is happening when Russell is really gaining traction, challenging much of the conventional wisdom,” Elon said. “I think we’re running out of conspiracy theories that aren’t true.”
