The Marvels: Meet the cast and characters


The new Marvel film will be released in theaters on November 9th

The wonders debuts on the big screen with the even more powerful trio of superheroines. Starting November 9, Carol Denvers, Monica Rambeau and Kamala Khan will be playing in theaters across the country.




In The wonders, Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence, but the unimaginable consequences leave Carol carrying the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her into an anomalous wormhole connected to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entwined with those of her Jersey City superfan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and her niece, now SABER astronaut , Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, they form an unlikely trio who must unite and learn to work as a team to save the Universe.

Directed by Nia DaCosta, the film stars big names already known in the MCU, but also features a new cast. Discover the main characters of The wonders!

Brie Larson: Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel

Back inside The wonders, actress Brie Larson brings all the power of Carol Danvers to the big screen. I have since integrated the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). Captain Marvel (2019), the North American is also known for her important works in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010), Kong: Skull Island (2017), Avengers: Endgame (2019), as well as winning an Oscar for Best Actress for the memorable Jack’s room (2015).

Teyonah Parris-Monica Rambeau

Teyonah Parris is an American actress known for her notable roles in Dear white people (2014) e Chirak (2015), directed by Spike Lee. At Marvel Studios, Parris made his grand debut in WandaVision (2021) as Monica Rambeau. Presented to the public as a child, in Captain Marvel (2019), Monica is the daughter of Maria Rambeau, a great friend of Carol Denvers, who ends up following in her footsteps.

Iman Vellani – Kamala Khan/Ms. wonder

At just 21 years old, Iman Vellani is already part of the new generation of MCU heroes. After starring in the exclusive Disney+ series, Ms. Marvel (2022), Iman returned as Kamala Khan in The wonders. The character is a young woman in high school and admirer of Carol Danvers, who feels invisible both at home and at school. However, she ends up gaining superpowers like the heroes she has always idolized.

Samuel L. Jackson-Nick Fury

Veteran of Marvel Studios productions, Samuel L. Jackson returns as Nick Fury The wonders. Present since Phase 1 of the MCU, she has participated in many of the studio’s films, such as Iron Man (2008), Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), The Avengers (2012), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Captain Marvel (2019), among many others, with his final appearance in the exclusive Disney+ original series, Secret invasion (2023).

Zawe Ashton-Dar-Benn

Making her MCU debut, Zawe Ashton is a British actress known for comedy-drama fresh meat (2011) and production Mr Malcolm’s list (2022). In The wonders, Zawe plays the villain Dar-Benn, leader of the Accusers in the Kree Empire, who seeks revenge against Captain Marvel. Already known to some fans of the studio, Ashton is engaged to fellow actor Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki, with whom she has a daughter.

Park Seo-joon – Yan D’Aladna

The newest member of the MCU, Park Seo-joon is a South Korean actor who is very successful in Korean television series, such as She was cute (2015) e What’s wrong with Secretary Kim? (2018) – in addition to participating in the award-winning feature film that won the Oscar® for best film, Parasite (2019). In The wondersSeo-joon plays Yan D’Aladna, a prince of the musical planet Aladna, where the inhabitants are known to communicate in rhyme.
