Singer Ariana Grande and luxury real estate agent Dalton Gomez have reached an agreement to finalize their divorce. According to TMZ, which was the first newspaper to report the case, Ariana will pay Dalton 1.2 million dollars (about R$6.4 million), in a lump sum and tax-free, thus excluding the possibility of receiving the alimony to her ex-husband.
Under the terms of the agreement, Dalton will also receive half of the net proceeds from the sale of his former Los Angeles home. Additionally, Ariana will cover up to $25,000 in legal fees for Dalton. The agreement has already been filed and only awaits the judge’s signature to be made official.
Relationship and separation
Ariana, 30, and Dalton, 28, started dating in February 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic quarantine, and announced their engagement in December of the same year. “Forever and ever again,” the “7 Rings” singer wrote beneath a photo of her engagement ring on her Instagram.
They got married in May 2021, and the divorce news came just two months after the couple celebrated their second wedding anniversary. But they have been separated since January.
Ariana is currently dating Ethan Slater, her co-star in the upcoming film “Wicked.” Slater, who recently divorced Lilly Jay, with whom he has a son born in January 2023, began his relationship with Ariana after they both split from their former partners.
The film “Wicked”, which began production in the UK last year, will be divided into two parts, the first of which will hit cinemas in November 2024.
