Playboy fires Mia Khalifa after controversial comments about Hamas attack on Israel

Playboy has ended its partnership with former porn star Mia Khalifa after she commented that the company considered the terrorist group Hamas’ attacks on Israel to be “disgusting and reprehensible.” The information was released by Playboy itself in a message to users and involves the closure of the influencer channel linked to the brand.

“We are writing to you today to inform you of our decision to end Playboy’s relationship with Mia Khalifa, including deleting Mia’s channel on our creator platform,” the company said. “Over the past few days, Mia has made disgusting and reprehensible comments celebrating Hamas’ attacks on Israel and the murder of innocent men, women and children. We at Playboy encourage free expression and constructive political debate, but we have a policy of zero tolerance. for hate speech. We hope Mia understands that her words and actions have consequences.”

Statements on social media

In her Twitter posts following Hamas attacks on Israel, Mia Khalifa wrote: “If you can look at the situation in Palestine and not be on the side of the Palestinians, then you are on the wrong side of apartheid and history will prove it with the weather”. She also wrote: “I can’t believe the Zionist apartheid regime is being overthrown by guerrillas in fake Gucci t-shirts – biopics of these moments should reflect this.” And as the Universo Parello rave massacres unfolded, which left 260 people dead, he added: “I just want to make sure there’s 4K footage of my people breaking down the open-air prison walls so we have good options for the history books that will tell how they freed themselves from apartheid.”
