Father ofOkayalso DJ Juárez Petrillo I did not imagine what would have happened if he landed in Israel to play at an electronic music festival. After the attack by the Hamas group, one of the creators of the ‘Universo Paralello’ festival had to flee from the bombings that hit the place.
“I’m still in shock! And the bombs continue to explode… I’ll tell you the details later”writes Petrillo, Alok’s father, on social media when he had to run to a car, then walk to a bunker and take cover.

The Hamas attack against Israel took place last Saturday the 7th and only on Wednesday the 11th did Juarez Petrillo manage to return to Brazil – as well as the actress Gabriela Duarte and her children. Alok posted the account of his reunion with his father, which was emotional. Previously, the DJ had made a video to talk about the situation in the Middle East and even burst into tears.
“What a relief to be able to hug you dad!”, Alok wrote in the caption of the photo posted on Instagram hugging his father. The venue of the meeting was in Sao Paulo and this was a real relief for the DJ since in the region where Juarez played at least 260 dead were found.
