Sara Mariano’s husband had planned the singer’s death 1 month ago

From the investigations of the Civil Police of Bahia it emerged that Ederlan Mariano, husband and producer of the gospel singer Sara Mariano, 35 years old, had planned her death about 1 month later.

Ederlan was arrested preventively on Friday evening, the 27th. He confessed to the crime to the police.

The man attempted to delete the data from Sara’s cell phone to hide the evidence and according to the police there is evidence that he enlisted the help of other people to commit the murder.

“There is certainly the participation of other perpetrators of the crime. The husband is in prison, but it is important that all the perpetrators of the crime are held responsible and sentenced”, said deputy Marcos Tebaldi, of the Metropolitan Police Department.

The police are awaiting reports from the technical police department to confirm whether the body found charred on a road, in Dias D’Ávila, in the metropolitan region of Salvador, is indeed that of Sara.
