Vini Jr. talks about the end of his romance with Virginia: “I’m not ashamed to admit that I was careless”

Vinícius Júnior spoke for the first time about deal with Virginia Fonseca. On Wednesday evening, the 8th, the Real Madrid star apologized for what he called “carelessness” in his relationship with the influencer. Messages between the player and a model were leaked on Tuesday morning and went viral on social media.

“[…] Even though we weren’t officially a couple yet, there was a sincere connection. I’m not ashamed to admit that I was careless, I didn’t respond in the best way possible, and I disappointed her. For this I want to apologize publicly, with an open heart, because I understand that a true relationship exists only when there is respect, trust and transparency”, wrote the athlete.

In his statement Vini confirmed Virginia’s three trips to visit him in Madrid. In the last one, last weekend, she went to the Santiago Bernabéu to watch Real Madrid’s victory over Villarreal.

“Virginia is an incredible woman, an admirable mother and a person for whom I have enormous affection and respect. Since we met, she has come to Madrid three times to see me, leaving her routine, her commitments and her life just to be with me. I have met an admirable mother, an incredible companion,” he continued.

The attacker concluded the statement, leaving his future with Virginia open: “The idea now is to reset everything. No lies, no arguments, no masks. With lots of love, affection and respect”.

The athlete is concentrated in South Korea with the Brazilian team for the friendly against the hosts this Friday 10th. Carlo Ancelotti’s group still has a commitment against Japan next Tuesday, 14th.
