Silvia Abravanel reveals she was kicked out of home by Iris Abravanel as a teenager

Host and director Silvia Abravanel, Silvio Santos’ “daughter number 2”, told host Luciana Gimenez that she was kicked out of the house by Iris Abravanel when she was 16 years old. The revelation was made in the podcast Bagaceira Chique, presented by Gimenez.

Silvinha, as she is known, said that Iris, Silvio Santos’ wife, punished her, but did not reveal what the reason was that led to the disagreement between them.

“I was asked to leave, as punishment. My mother thought I was at that ‘boring’ stage. I left because I had no choice,” he said. The presenter said that she went to live in her father’s office, with the local caretakers.

Silvinha, currently 52 years old, is the adopted daughter of Silvio and the presenter’s first wife, Aparecida Abravanel, who died of cancer in 1977. Silvinha was just 5 years old at the time and went to live with Silvio and, later, with Íris, with whom the presenter married shortly after.

Despite the conflicts of her adolescence, Silvinha calls Íris her mother. “I’ve had a lot of mothers in my life,” she said on the podcast.

Recently, Silvinha also revealed that she had to “fight” with her father to be respected as a professional when she started working at SBT. According to her, only when the two were able to separate the family bond from the professional one did everything start to go well.
