Keanu Reeves’ mansion is invaded by a masked group

The actor’s residence Keanu Reeves was the target of a raid in the early hours of last Thursday (7), in Los Angeles. The group of invaders, captured by security cameras, broke a window to enter the star’s villa and escaped with a firearm.

The criminal action took place a few hours after the police intervened, around 7pm on Wednesday evening (6), after an anonymous phone call had reported the presence of an alleged intruder in the actor’s home. According to the website TMZLos Angeles County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation at the property, but left after no suspects were found.

Officers returned to the house at around 1am after the gang broke into the villa, triggering a security alarm. The portal added that the suspects were seen in surveillance footage wearing balaclavas to hide their identities.

Reeves was not present at the time of the incident, according to TMZ, and it is unclear whether any items other than the firearm were stolen.

The crime occurred ten years after the actor found himself facing a similar situation after encountering an intruder who broke into his home in the middle of the night. In 2014 the protagonist of the trilogy ‘Matrix’ he was awakened by noises coming from his library, finding a woman claiming to have come to meet him. The actor is believed to have handled the situation calmly and police referred the woman for psychiatric evaluation.

Three days later, Reeves faced another similar problem when he discovered a woman swimming naked in his pool. The actor, at the time, obtained a precautionary measure against the stalker.
