After scaring his fans by being hospitalized in a state of emergency in the early hours of last Friday the 29th in Salvador, Compadre Washington was discharged on Saturday morning the 30th. The singer published a video on his Instagram story updating his followers on the topic his health condition. He explained that he would have to undergo surgery for appendicitis.




According to the medical bulletin released by the Mater Dei Hospital in Salvador, the singer improved after the surgery. The singer was hospitalized with abdominal discomfort and underwent tests with findings suggestive of acute appendicitis.

Again according to the note, “the patient is clinically stable, in an open hospitalization regime, without complications during the period and with a good recovery after the operation, being able to be discharged from the hospital for outpatient checks and must maintain rest”.

Still in the hospital bed, Compadre reassured the public with his characteristic good humor, complete with an effective phrase: “I did the exam, I saw that I had appendicitis and I had to have surgery, you, you, friend!”

He later published an already standing article, which showed the scar from the surgery. She clarified that the show It’s the Tchan! in Rio de Janeiro, which will take place on New Year’s Eve, will be played by bandmate, Beto Jamaica.

Hospitalization in July

The singer had already been hospitalized on June 26 and remained in hospital for nine days. The musician was taken to the department after feeling discomfort in the abdominal region, while performing in the electric trio Arrastão dos Ambulantes, in the city of São Sebastião do Passé, in the metropolitan region of Salvador, about 66 km from the capital of Bahia.
