The actress Marieta Severo, 77 years old, visited the Retiro dos Artistas, in Rio de Janeiro, on Tuesday 16th, where she met Paulo César Pereio, 83 years old, also known as Cissa Guimarães’ ex-husband.

Pereio arrived at the Retiro dos Artistas in 2020. There he is known for the strong temperament that has marked his career. They say his adjustment has been fantastic and the cafeteria and library are his favorite places.

Artists retreat asks for help

“I have people here who contribute nothing. There are others who highlight the concept, who earn a minimum wage and who contribute R$200, R$100 a month. Just like there are family members who come together and contribute. We live only on donations and the sale of our thrift shop. Our survival depends on the help of some artists and the population. We really need help, whether in the financial aspect, in food, in medicine, in clothes. Everything it’s very welcome,” he said, in an interview with Extra.
