“Joker” is getting a million-dollar sequel from Warner Bros. The film will hit theaters in October this year and will bring back Joaquin Phoenix as the iconic clown and Lady Gaga as the new Harley Quinn.

After changing strategies within the company, Warner Bros. also decided to transform the original project of the “Joker” franchise. The first film produced cost around 60 million dollars. Now, its sequel has had a production of around 200 million copies.

And how much of that jackpot did the actors get? Well, according to Variety, Joaquin Phoenix, who plays the main character, is expected to receive around $20 million. Meanwhile, Lady Gaga has pocketed a sum of 12 million.
