The artists are staying at a resort called LUX South Ari Atoll, advertised as “a five-star island in the Maldives for those who need to relax or go on adventure.” The property is part of a hotel chain with locations in Tanzania, Mauritius, Reunion Island and China.
On a booking website, an all-inclusive nightly rate (that is, with meals and drinks included in the package) at the resort for one person on a weekend in March amounts to R$8,000, including taxes and fees.
