The businessman Thor the Baptistson of Eike Batista comes from Luma de Oliveiracelebrated last Thursday, the 22nd, the first month of the birth of her son, who received the same name as his father.

The controversies of Thor Batista

A few years ago, single Thor was known for squandering large sums of money in nightclubs, driving luxury cars and getting involved in controversies.

He hit and killed the truck driver’s assistant Wanderson Pereira dos Santosin March 2012, when the cyclist crossed the Washington Luís highway (BR-040), near the district of Xerém, in Duque de Caxias (RJ).

In 2013, the Rio de Janeiro court ordered Eike and Thor to pay a R$500,000 fine to Santos’ family. However, two years later, the businessman was acquitted by the Rio de Janeiro court. The judges ruled on Thor’s defense appeal and found the prosecution’s evidence dubious.

He also graced the magazine’s website Forbes, in a list of global scandals involving billionaires due to the incident. At the time, the publication called the boy “the playboy son of the then seventh richest person on the planet.”

He also had a Ferrari seized by Detran-RJ, in 2012, for driving without a front license plate, as well as having hypothesized the use of anabolic steroids, in 2014, during an interview with the newspaper Extra. At the time, he weighed 105 kg and was 1.90 m tall, attracting public attention for his physical shape.
