“Get out of the circus arena.” This technique was taught to me by a wise psychologist. If the circus clowns have ever dragged you to the center of the arena and are having fun, find an excuse to leave, at least go to the front row. And when in the current information chaos you do not understand who is right and who is wrong, it is problematic to distinguish true information from false, the first thing to do is to take a step back and “retire from the arena of the circus”.

Don’t check your News Feed multiple times a day. Surprisingly, you will always be aware of the main agenda: through the telegram channels of famous people, acquaintances who will tell you something. Particularly important events will not escape you.

Focus on your business. No one canceled work, raising children, caring for loved ones and even pets. When choosing an occupation, give it your all: whether you’re watering flowers, cooking food, or cleaning the apartment.

Keep your room free from radiation sources. There are no televisions or electronics in my break room. But there are blackout curtains for sleeping in complete darkness. I put my phone away from the bed and only use it as an alarm clock. An hour before bedtime, I recommend giving up TV and computer.

Magnesium bath. Now special salt mixtures are available in many stores and at an affordable price. Magnesium in the composition helps to relax. Correctly, when the water is slightly warmer than body temperature, ~ 45 degrees, the duration of the procedure is 10-15 minutes. And then, having wiped the body with a towel, you should immediately go to bed. While taking a bath, I turn off the main light in the room, light some candles or a small lamp, and turn on the sound of a tropical downpour, but no thunder. By the way, this sound effect also helps to fall asleep. This is a reference to animal instinct, because during heavy rains even large predators rest, they cannot follow the trail and smell the prey. Therefore, subconsciously, the sound of rain calms us down.

Monitor your emotional state. If you feel nervous excitement, do a breathing exercise. The easiest way is to simply start counting the number of inhales and exhales. This way you focus on the breath itself, which helps get the brain excited. Soothing herbal teas, homeopathic drops and even a tried-and-true remedy like valerian tea cannot be ruled out. There is a technique that psychologists advise even for people suffering from panic attacks: take a cup of hot tea and warm your fingertips. You can also do this under a stream of warm water, or even just imagine your hands holding a hot cup. You will be surprised, but it works.

Host a digital detox from phones, laptops, tablets and other gadgets. Take a break from your social networks and from others. Turn on a stunning movie, for example, “La vie est belle” by Roberto Benigni or read/listen to an audiobook, I now have “Two Lives” by Concordia Antarova. When there is no urgency, I say to myself: “And let the whole world wait..”. (Laughs).

Meet and chat with friends. The main thing is that at gatherings do not sit opposite each other in smartphones. Talk, laugh, eat, walk, play board games. Thanks to emotions and feelings, life acquires bright colors.

Change the picture. If there is an opportunity during a work break not to sit in the kitchen, but to go for a walk, be sure to use it. At the weekend, go for a visit, at the chalet or at the leisure centre. The change of location is like a breath of fresh air. Recently I went to the Baltic for 3 days, to Kaliningrad, I visited the Curonian Spit, and it lifted my spirits a lot.

“Cultivate”. Theatre, cinema, concerts, exhibitions and other pleasant events. New impressions give rise to new ideas and plans, help to cope with a difficult life situation.
