According to the American magazine Us Weekly, Kate’s surgery procedure was not informed to Kensington Palace staff.
“Some of Kate’s senior staff were unable to see or speak to her, and didn’t even know about the surgery until it was announced, so it took them by surprise,” a source told the newspaper.
