Ximbinha criticizes Joelma’s career after the end of the band Calypso

Ximbinha was present on talk shows and once again addressed the topic of his ex-wife, Joelma, with whom he shared the stage during the height of his career. She said that he was unable to reinvent himself in his solo career.

“I know how to get up, I know how to work, I have talent. I’m not saying she doesn’t have it, because she has talent. But she hasn’t managed to reinvent herself yet”Panic began.

And he argued: “I know how to reinvent myself, I know how to produce, I know how to do things, I know how to discover new talents, I know how to do many things… It’s more difficult for women. I have a lot of respect for the band Calypso. The band no longer belonged to us, but more to our fans, to our audience.”

Finally, Ximbinha said she chose to remain silent during the separation to protect her children. He believes that if he had gotten into a public fight, he would have harmed not only himself and Joelma, but also their emotional health.
