Vale all: Fatima tries to stop pregnancy

The desperate attempt by Maria de Fátima to cover the unwanted pregnancy marked the chapter transmitted on Monday (18 August) in the soap opera Vale Tudo. During the debut of a work at the Municipal Theater in Rio de Janeiro, the character played by Bella Campos shocked those present when he played from the scale in a scene of strong emotional load and updated one of the most iconic moments of the original version of 1988.

The turnaround occurs after a sequence of disappointments. Fatima discovers that she is pregnant with Caesar (Cauã Reymond), with whom she maintained an extramarital relationship, while believing that her husband, AFONSO (Humberto Carrão), was sterile. This information, however, was part of a scam designed by Celina (Malu Galli), in order to destabilize the couple’s relationship.

In the episode in question, Fatima arrives at the visibly shaken event. Finding her mother, Raquel (Taís Araujo), the young woman feels a last emotional charm, asking attention and help. The answer, however, is clear. “I don’t have a daughter anymore,” says Raquel, refusing any contact with the girl.

Shortly after the clash, Maria de Fátima climbs the theater scale, taken by memories and a feeling of growing despair. In a dramatic and calculated gesture, he lets himself fall, blowing the steps on the ground. The scene, accompanied by several guests of the Rio de Janeiro High Society, generates immediate confusion. AFONSO is one of the first to help her, completely desperate in the face of the situation.

Despite the severity of the fall, Fatima’s plan does not achieve its goal. At the hospital, the character is informed that the child has survived and that his pregnancy continues. The revelation is received with relief by AFONSO, who is not yet aware of the origin of the child. In the next chapters, the truth will emerge with a DNA test that will demonstrate Caesar’s authorship.

The artistic direction of the current version of Vale Tudo, signed by Paulo Silvestrini, maintained the structure of the original scene, broadcast in 1989 with Gloria Pires in the main role. However, he introduced distinct emotional shades: while the original version had a colder and more determined fatima, the new version highlighted his vulnerability and anguish in the face of the fear of losing marriage and the social status.
