Iza reveals she discovered her pregnancy by going to a friend’s house: ‘Wow, I’m pregnant’

Singer Iza, 34, revealed this Sunday, 14, the details of how she discovered her pregnancy. A first-time mother, the artist revealed the news last Friday, the 12th, after rumors spread throughout the week.

“I was going to visit a friend who now has a child, right? The intention was to calm down. Thinking about this pregnancy and stuff like that, I thought, damn, when will my last period come,” she said in an interview with Globo’s Fantástico.

According to her, at the time, about six months ago, she stopped taking contraceptive drugs and immediately asked her security guard for a pregnancy test.

“I went to the bathroom, pee licked the thing. And then the key appeared, right? Then I thought, x, Brazil block, I’m not pregnant. But a thousandth of a second later, I said, no, man. X is not negative, no. I think I’m pregnant. I said, gosh, I’m over three weeks pregnant,” she adds.

Also in the interview, Iza called the experience “the craziest” of her life and stressed that she won’t stop the shows, but will simply “slow down the pace.” On social media she shared how she told friends and relatives about her pregnancy with footballer Yuri Lima, with whom she has been in a relationship since January 2023.
