Prince Harry has lost a new legal battle to regain police protection in the UK. Last Monday, the 15th, the British court – which in February had refused to grant police protection to Prince Harry during his visits to the United Kingdom – rejected his request for an appeal.

According to the information that the Reuters had access, a spokesperson for Harry said the prince decided to take action at the High Court in London after the Home Office, responsible for policing, decided in February 2020 that he would not automatically receive police personal security while he was in prison.

A court spokesman said the prince can now appeal directly to the Court of Appeal.

“The reality of the matter is that the applicant believes that, whilst in the UK, he should be given a different approach to his protection to that decided by RAVEC, partly based on a comparison of his own position with that of others” , stated judge Pietro Corsia.
