The pianist from Rio concludes his season in SP with a string trio and invites Nara Couto and Rob Love to the stage
Today marks the last performance of the season at Bona by composer, pianist and singer Jonathan Ferr. In the residency, entitled “Cura”, the musician, an exponent of Rio jazz, is accompanied by the string trio formed by Denise Oliver (violin), Jennifer Cardoso (viola) and Reblack (cello). Nara Couto and Rob Love are tonight’s guests. Tássia Reis and Badi Assad were the guests in previous weeks.
In the repertoire of these shows, Jonathan mixes songs from his entire discography, covering the albums “Trilogia do Amor” (2019), “Cura” (2021) and “Liberdade” (2023). The show, which has already toured numerous cities in Brazil and also in Europe.
“I go on stage very responsibly, very seriously, thinking of music as a great cosmic energy that brings transformation, brings spiritual connection, and when I talk about spirituality, I’m not talking about religion, but about meeting with myself. This show, Experiencia Cura, is a provocation to meet ourselves, to remember our divine seed, that we are divine beings and that we are very powerful,” says Jonathan, who fights to popularize jazz in the suburbs.
