The Molejo team is the victim of a robbery a few hours after the death of singer Anderson Leonardo

Part of the group’s team Soft was victim of a robbery this Friday, the 26th, the day of the death of the composer, instrumentalist and singer of the band Anderson Leonardo, at the age of 51. The artist, who was diagnosed with groin cancer in 2022, had complications from the disease and did not survive.

The news of the artist’s death was given in the early afternoon. Around 11pm, the group’s press office published a note informing of the robbery. The team gave no details about what was stolen or the circumstances of the crime, but said the theft resulted in the disruption of telephone and WhatsApp communications.

With a sequence of hospitalizations due to clinical complications, the last public information on the singer’s health dates back to April 22, when it was announced that he had been hospitalized again in the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Unimed-Rio hospital.

Also known as “Molejão”, the group has established itself as one of the great Brazilian pagoda bands. Your first album, Molejo Groupreleased in 1994, it produced “Caçamba”, the group’s first hit, and the irreverent style of the compositions guaranteed hits such as “Cilada” and “Dança da Vassoura”.
