Members of the Molejo group were victims of a robbery this Friday (26), in Rio de Janeiro. The crime happened the same day that the band’s leader, Anderson Leonardo, died at the age of 51After two years of fighting groin cancer.

The information was confirmed by the group’s official Instagram profile. “Unfortunately today we were the victims of a robbery which resulted in the interruption of our communications via telephone and WhatsApp. We are currently recovering and resuming our operations. We ask for the understanding of the press and other interested parties as we deal with this situation,” it read in the note.

According to information from G1, one of the team cars was broken into. So far Molejo members have not revealed further details about the crime and losses.
